You are right in saying that we will have to be aware of our rights to get the things done from the authorities. Let us use this medium for waking up the concerned officers of GDA, GMC, Electricity Deptt. etc. If despite lodging complaints with the authorities concerned, no action is taken, we should bring this to the notice while making online complaint in www.darpg-grievance.nic.in, at the relevant place displayed in it.
